Surrealography - disciplines include photography, oil painting, pencil and ink drawing.
Artwork utilizes digital hand-painting without aide of digital effects.
Final medium: print
I coined the term 'Surrealography' after printing my first series of creations in Hollywood. The technicians at the high-end photo lab had never seen anything like it and craved to know the name of the process that I used. Actually, the technique is very similar to painting with traditional oils. How it essentially differs is in the source of color and the final format, that being a print. The result is a silky smooth and engaging image. Ultimately, my desire is to instil a sense of magic and marvel for the randomness that exists not just in the realm of imagination but in our daily existential trek. May vibrant color and child-like fantasy uplift us all as we continue to search the sky ~ baronsky |
