Come, come, descend from the stars
Those that you have shined on so bright

And heralding trumpets of daffodils

Catch the faunas beam

On a jocund breeze the meadow whistles

Now, three shades more scarlet, they bow and sway
Hear the poppy trill 'hooray hooray'

Glide glide, o'er endless gardens of plum and berry
A fluttering forest and maize, so gold
Fold thy wings and perch thy quill so weary
The time has come to embrace our own

On this safe branch take clutch
She awaits only thee
See the leaves and rivers dance
As the children splash in gracious glee

About what you blossomed, out of not so thin air
From delirious delights and daunting despair
These characters you invented with such flair
Too weighty to bear?

Then good, bring your companions 
Introduce each and every
Crafty and strong, funny and caring
Remember them all for us, so vivid and daring

Peel back the veil, no longer required
Dip your bold beak into the nectar of paradise
And through the bush and distant yonder
Observe the shimmer of turquoise oceans swell with delight

Amid jumping hounds and swift fluffy hare
Toads and white tailed doe
Sing robin sing, softer and louder than ever before
